In a sale-leaseback, an entity sells the aircraft and then immediately leases back the aircraft from the buyer. The equity released from sale-leaseback can be used to enhance liquidity, invest in other assets or pay down debt. Sale-leasebacks can be used as an excellent tax planning strategy.

A lease customized to the client’s needs can also offer significant advantages in managing cash reserves and balance sheet. In certain situations, our partners can facilitate a “like kind exchange transaction,” allowing the customer to acquire a new aircraft in exchange for an existing one.
